We started a big work in the end of Spring, renewing the tasting hall of the winery. It was a challenge because until the Gere Jazz Festival everything had to be finished. Originally we planned to renew only the tasting hall, but finally a bigger extension was done.
We missed the homely atmosphere of the hotel so we asked our dear friend Zoltán Varró from VarroDesgin to realize our ideas. He knew immediately the perfect conception and yes, we accepted the first version of the plan. We liked it very much and it reflected our taste fully. We liked to evoke an atmosphere of an elegant hacienda.
We expanded the terrace which can be covered and functions as a heated-cooled winter garden. The tasting hall became more atmospheric, like a pleasant living room. I loved the blue armchair in the designs so much that we agreed with the designer that we would celebrate the end of the renovation with a glass of wine. We supplied the kitchen more so the events will be easier to hold at the winery. Furthermore we have grill kitchen ideas for the weekends, which we would like to realize in the future.
We can show the full Gere portfolio for the guests visiting the winery, and they can also taste vintage items. Should it so happen we can even open a bottle among the barrels.
